How do we recruit?

Recruiting is important to us because currently we are getting a lot of quality work done and are having fun together. We would also like to keep it that way in the future, so finding a true match between Cirit and the candidate is crucial.

We are looking for people who are both nice and competent.

First, who are we looking for? We are looking for people who are both nice and competent. (Our open positions) Acquired competence in software development is quite negotiable because we highly value potential and understand that some people have the capability to develop fast - especially when they’re put into the right environment. Being nice, however, is not optional. We have a culture of appreciating and helping people around us. We want that everyone can be themselves and enjoy being a part of this professional and fun group of like-minded people.

Ok, let’s jump into our recruitment process then! We’ve had a lot of positive feedback from our candidates so we are actually proud of how we do things.

Our process has two phases. First, we’ll have an initial discussion about you and us. Second, if we find the common interest to proceed, we’ll have a technical interview.

You’ll meet two of our people and we will have a conversation about you and us.

Our initial discussion is very informal. After covid we’ve usually done these online as it’s usually the most convenient way to get the calendars match. You’ll meet two of our people and we will have a conversation about you and us.

We are interested in your professional background, interests regarding coding and professional development and what are the things you value in a workplace. We will introduce Cirit and you will also have the chance to ask questions. Our goal is find a common understanding whether you are a fit for Cirit and whether Cirit would be a fit for you. After the discussion we’ll have an internal meeting and will communicate our thoughts to you quickly, usually the same or the following day.

You will meet two of our developers online or in person and you will together work on a technical task.

Phase two is about technical competence. Still, it is not just about technical competence - it is also a chance for you to meet our developers and a change for our developers to see what it would be like to work with you. You will meet two of our developers online or in person and you will together work on a technical task. It is not about throwing you a technical curveball to see what happens but a lifelike opportunity to work together. You can ask, google things, suggest, tell jokes - do everything as you would do when working together. You’ll also get the opportunity to ask questions from our developers at the end of the interview.

Once again, we convene internally after the interview and you will hear the results usually the same or the following day. We like timely and straightforward communication and, naturally, value the same from you.

If you find Cirit interesting, check out our open positions or just send any of us a message. We also love feedback, so if you have any comments or ideas regarding anything we do, please let us know.
