How Would Cirit Be a Dream Partner for Clients?
“We make value together with the client.” Our developers work in sync with our clients, helping them boost their business by using technology. Even though the value we bring greatly depends on our “hard” technical understanding, the foundation for lasting collaboration lies in the “soft” things. Our values, attitudes and approach.
We held a whole company meeting in February and discussed “how would Cirit be a dream partner for our clients”. These are the things that our developers saw as important and worth cherishing:
“Trustworthy and honest”
This was an important recurring theme in many answers. We want to form trusted long-term relationships inside and outside the company. The foundation for these relationships is honesty. This means we tell things as they are, not sugar-coating stuff. It is easy with easy things, but we should be able to do it with the hard things also.
“We tell our opinions honestly.”
“Proactive and ready to challenge conventions”
We want to bring more than just our technical capabilities to the table. We are hired to bring things from outside the organization and we believe that many times even the questions we ask can be extremely valuable. ”Why are you doing this?” We want to drive the evolution of communication and project practices and help the whole team develop themselves and their working practices.
“Not just being extra hands working on tickets but helping the team to evolve and improve processes.”
“Taking responsibility and being truly interested in our client’s success”
Being really interested in the customer domain and business makes a big difference. We work hard to match the developer and the project in such a way that there is true interest in the domain, technology and client’s business. Our people also feel a great sense of responsibility about their projects and helping their clients succeed.
“We don’t work for the client but with the client.”
“Being flexible and adapting to the environment”
Even though we like to challenge conventions, we also acknowledge that it is important to know how to adapt to various environments, tools, technologies and domains. Working on a security critical project might be a bit different than working on a project that is going to be open sourced. We might have our favored ways to communicate and develop software but getting the team to work effectively is the most important thing. So, we also adapt and strive to find the position where we can bring the most value for our client.
“Having our own opinions but being able to adapt.”
Soft things can be hard to get right. They exist somewhere in between, a blob of attitudes and beliefs that might be hard to grasp completely yet everyone feels it. Based on our customer feedback so far, we’re on the right path.
